The Co(l)laboratory Process

Embedding community in research

Co(l)laboratory puts community knowledge and experience at the core of research. Our 8-year programme is pioneering a new way of working closely with local Nottinghamshire communities and community-focused organisations to create and deliver new research projects that are based on the needs and priorities of Nottingham and Nottinghamshire citizens.

Our Annual Activity Cycle

Tell us what challenges our next projects should address

A core mission of Co(l)laboratory is to create new research that is centered on the priorities and lived experiences of the Nottingham and Nottinghamshire communities. To understand what challenges are impacting our communities, we’ve created the Notts Voice in Research campaign.

Develop and support new research as a project partner

All Co(l)laboratory projects are developed, led and supported by members of local community-focused organisations and Nottingham researchers. Our project co-creation process runs each year from May-September.
