Co(l)laboratory 2025 Funded Research Placements

Co(l)laboratory Research Placements are part-time, practical development opportunities carried out over a continuous 10-week period. Placements offer candidates the opportunity to gain meaningful experience in academic research and to take part in PhD level researcher training and events. Projects are carried out by a Research Placement candidate, and are supported by teams of Nottingham researchers and partners from local community-focused organisations

Co(l)laboratory Research Placements scheme offers real research projects which explore cutting-edge solutions to community challenges as part of our a pioneering new approach to community centred research. Our Placements have been designed especially to give promising individuals the opportunity to expand their horizons by carrying out genuine community focused research. Eligibility Criteria

Only applications from those who meet our eligibility criteria will be considered. It is essential that all prospective applications read our eligibility criteria in full before making their application.

How to Apply

All applications must be made through our online form, linked at the top of this page. We do not accept applications by email and we do not accept CVs in place of a complete application form.

Our online application form will ask you for your personal details, and for your answers to our standard competency questions.

To support you in preparing your application, we have made an offline copy of the application form available to download. Final applications must be made through the online form.

Key dates

  • Applications open: 9am Monday 06 January 2025
  • Application deadline: 11:59pm Sunday 02 March 2025
  • Interviews: To take place between 17-26 March 2025
  • Start date for successful candidates: Monday 28 April 2025
