Help us create and shape new research
Research Built Around Community
Created WITH the community, FOR the community
The Co(l)laboratory programme has adopted a novel approach to doctoral research, based on principles of civic engagement, co-creation, and co-production. To create a programme of research that is grounded in the priorities and lived experience of our local communities, all of our research projects are developed through collaborations between local community-focused organisations and Nottingham academics, with wider insight and ideas from Nottingham and Nottinghamshire citizens.
Read below to find out how you can get involved and help us shape our next research projects.

Notts Voice in Research
Are you a Notts citizen? Tell us what our next research projects should focus on.
A core mission of Co(l)laboratory is to create new research that is centred on the priorities and lived experiences of Nottingham and Nottinghamshire Communities. In order for local citizens to have their say, share their ideas and to help us shape our research agenda, we’ve created the Notts Voice in Research initiative.
Research is a tool to help us all find solutions to challenges in society. Co(l)laboratory firmly believes that for research to make a genuine difference to society, and particularly to the people of our communities in Nottingham and Nottinghamshire, our research must be developed WITH communities, in order for it to do good FOR communities.
